  • it already does. Maybe your audio card only has one channel or your settings are set to mono sound...

    maybe some of the "algorithms" he's talking about are not implemented but none the less, that's a good find.

  • With headset you ionly need stereo. You only have two eardrums you know. You can achieve full sorrund with two speakers if they are place correctly.. i.e very close to you ear.


    However.. human use far more complex mekanisms to position sound than just static level difference, but they are not achieve better with many channels unless you calibrate your listening room very very carefully.

    there are plugins for fubar and winamp that use this tech with ordinary mp3s :)

    human use far more complex mekanisms to position sound than just static level difference
    this simulate this complex mechanisms :)

    no.. it cant.. unless it has a gyroscpe, cause these mecahnisim include mechanical stuff like tilting your head, subconciously listen for sharper (more placeable) sounds. Looking around, turning etc. that cant be simulated ;)

  • hehe, the demo from dolby was cool

    - I love my 6.2-Headphones ;-)

    But I think the same way: the positioning in nexuiz could be a bit more precise
