Anyway, I would like to request support for saving your favorite servers via the GUI and by entering an IP address.

You're right, Darkplaces is a one man engine modification; LordHavoc actively maintains it, and he has joined Alientrap as well, thus he responds to any issues regarding the engine on this forum.

AFIAK, the GUI is handled by Alientrap, not LordHavoc; this would require some painful menu modifications, besides the function can already be partially accomplished by binding the command <connect IP.IP.IP.IP:PORT> to a key.

That's not much of a user-friendly way to do it, though. A GUI option would be nicer.

agreed, but it would be rather difficult the way the menus are set up...

The problem is, that the current menu is incredibly slow and in dire need of a rewrite, so adding more stuff is not a good idea atm imho...

Yeah, I pretty much knew this as I've asked Dresk a while back, but just wanted to get it out there for future releases if possible.
