The second point is very true. A feature that will make Nexuiz much more functional is to be able to choose the desired weapon order. For example, I would like to be able to define that if I pick up the crylink, it does not replace the MG. Everyone has different skill levels with different weapons, and it would be helpful if they could be ordered accordingly.

It tries to use the weapon you got, and has ammo for, in that order when you hit the x key. ofc you would customize the squense and key (x in this example)
put this in nexuiz/data/autoexec.cfg or nexui/data/config.cfg to have it applied on startup.

Can anything be configured for weapon pickup though? That would a great addition in the future if not yet available.

you mean for autoswitch? most ppl turn that off once they get used to the game. its better to make a contius choise to switch to a certin gun in most cases.
