[Feature Request] A Folder Hierarchy in the Demo Viewer

  • It'd be really nice if sub-folders in the /data/demo directory were accessible by the in-game viewer. That way, those who download or otherwise sort demos could view them quickly and easily.

  • I doubt that will happen in the current menu - maybe when I make a demo viewer in the new one. But folder controls are awful to make... maybe it will just become a huge listbox.
    1. Open Notepad
    2. Paste: ÿþMSMSMS
    3. Save
    4. Open the file in Notepad again

    You can vary the number of "MS", so you can clearly see it's MS which is causing it.

  • or you can just do a cron job that will put them into folders for you (say, on a per-month basis for example), then just move the demos around when you want to see them.

    Unless the cron job can pull out 'good games', sort them by game type and the reason I considered it a good game; Manually sorting them is how I have to approach this situation. However, with that fact aside, dissecting my folder hierarchy, even temporarily, is an unnecessary step in me trying to watch demos.
