  • Following a random urge I had, I've been designing a main menu for Nexuiz. This menu is nearly complete, and if I decide to continue this, the secondary menus will most likely take the "top bar" feel of the menus in 2.3, though with this theme. A crude textual representation would be:

    CAMPAIGN JOIN CREATE OPTIONS Quit

    Menu
Menu [Content goes here, right side, windowed]
    Menu
    Menu

    [Alientrap logo, far right]
    [Blurred, desaturated screenshot for background]

Anyway, I dunno how informative that is, but here's the main menu. I need help with making it useable ingame. The "Join" option is displaying a slight mouseover effect.

  • You would probably be best off waiting for 2.4's release (or looking at the svn) and trying to build it with the new menu system, if you'd really like to see it implemented.

The new menu system is pretty good, though, if you haven't already seen or played around with it.

  • Also, those serif fonts are horrible.

I really like the rest of it though- keep up the good work! I think Nex needs a main menu too. :)

  • If I decide to continue this, it'll probably be used sometime after 2.4's release. And Torus, the seif font is just Times New Roman, hence the ugliness of it. That'll have to be changed later.
