  • Hi
I'm new to the forum and I post to a request for help on development over a week ago and as yet I have had no answer on my offer of help. Now it may be that you cannot use me and think it may take too long for me to get up to speed because I come from a different software development background but it would be nice to have a reply so I know were I stand.
    Regards

  • There was a reply. A generic reply to all who offered their help.

    Just read http://alientrap.org/forum/viewtopic.php?p=59116&highlight=#59116.

If you want to contribute, you should start by:

    * Checking out the code and analyzing it (there is a thread describing how to do that)
    * Looking at the links provided by esteel and trying to solve some of the task
    * Joining IRC. You will always find people there willing to help you or to discuss new ideas with

From your self-description it seems like you want to look into the engine, darkplaces, which is written in C. The higher level stuff is written in QuakeC.

  • Look at esteel's reply in the "we need more developers" thread. If you'd like to develope, pick yourself an issue, and start working on it. When you have something to show,or you just need to ask a question, post it in the development section of the forum board.
    Case closed.
