  • In may way Controllfactor and hydronex should be in.
    They are not perfect for the ladder but there also need to be some maps that not fit 100%. :o

    I dont know what else can be discussed!!!! :!:

  • You may wish to consider mojoctf, my lastest ctf map. is seems more sutable for 3v3 then controlfactor (controlfactor was never intended for anything less then 5v5 by design)

    I think mojoctf is a bit like cbctf1(Space CTF) its also simple to controll with the nex. The problem there is you can controll the other flag point from your flag point.

    Oh i think mojoctf should be playtested. The teleporters into the back of the base make it too hard to just just defend with the nex. But then again sofar i only played it with much more then just 3vs3 players. Maybe the lower players number will change that.

    3vs3 in the latest controlfactor indeed sounds like a bad idea. there are just too many rooms to hide..

  • Too small, too few weapons, too cramped and one can laser jump over the walls :) For me thats a big NONO
    Though the general idea of the map is very good, it just needs to be adjusted in size so that two people can walk beside each other without a problem, there should be more pickups and i think the bases should be a bit bigger too.

    it's the one we played fighting over the quad esteel.

    That's a great map!

    but it might be slightly too big for 3v3 but its still one of the best nexuiz ctf maps ive played.

  • Wow, mikeCTFb2 really rocks. It seems to be properly scaled (or better: the size is good to move around there) and doesn't have any obvious glitches here. However, it will be too big for 3on3, thats for sure, I think.

    hal_palindrome would fit, concerning its size (a 3on3 would be possible there). However, I do get FPS issues at the own/opponents base, and get stuck very often on that map.

  • hmm i never had fps problems on palindrome.. getting stuck yeah but i think its still good enough. I'll test those fps a bit on my computer.
    Nope even on the normal.cfg settings fps did not go below 90 (without other players that is..)

  • I do get a drop to 50 FPS when entering a base (the small area where the flag is) :(

    No, sorry, I don't have any idea. I'm using an ATI card. I jsut tested the map again and it seems that the framedrop is "just" going down to 72 FPS, not 50 FPS. However, this is without models.

    OTOH I have even more severe framdrops on maps like FacingWorlds, or especially Greatwall Reloaded, where I have 45 FPS at some places (again, without enemy models). SO just this fact shouldn't prevent the map to become a future candidate for the mappool.

    I hereby suggest to playtest the map sometime this weekend. Are there anymore suggestions of maps to playtest ? I tried out mojoCTF locally, but first of all I don't like space maps anyway, and this map seems too open and too "stressful in gameplay" for me, too.
