  • Might i humbly suggest a download pack or similar for the CTF maps, so that
    1. its possible to find them
2: the serve admin is sure to use the same version?

I can provide this space/bandwidth, also for content-pushing, if someone points me to the correct files.

  • see ladder rules, at the bottom, people can find the maps there. They have to download it manually in order to play ladder matches, because demos recording is forced in all ladders, and if they don't have the maps inside the data folder but the dlcache, the demo recording will stop earlier and the playe won't notice that.

Thats a side-effeect of disconnecting before dowload, isnt it? That should be fixed then.

  • I was wondering where the best place was to search for updated maps... like updated greatwall, captureCity, facing worlds, etc. I setup a server a few months ago and I remember it was a PITA back then. I'm setting one up again so I'd like to get some help on tracking down the newest maps...the popular ones, like what is on the RBI server.

  • Thanks esteel.

Some of those links point to here

    http://user.uni-frankfurt.de/~jsiegl

where it looks like the newest capture city is located.

Any idea who maintains that site?

Me. But since the (old) maps in divverent's repository are actually tested and fixed if needed, i strongly suggest looking there first if you search something. I just started mirroring pretty much any pk3 i have at some point and it's a quite a mess by now...

  • I conducted an experiment tonight. I have a server CTF and has played for four hours straight. Right now, I played three times Inner Sanctum rebound Scornforge twice three times, and Vortex Portal whoping five times! The map rotation should be more widespread. There are other big cards, and they are not even used.
