Ya know, I often see a lot of highly skilled players on Herforst, but I don't see them on this forum, and I don't see them on the ladder list either. It took me a while to even read this forum after the first time I played Nexuiz. Maybe there could be a message on the server that invites people to play the ladder or at least check out this forum. I haven't the ladder yet. In fact, I don't even know how to begin joining the ladder, or joining a clan. (yes, I read the ladder section on this website)

Is there some easy cross-platform way of doing so? On the other hand visiting http://nexuiz.com and clicking on forum should not be that hard. Maybe windows shortcuts to the forum and mainpage could be included in the main dir or the Docus dir

Actually, this is not quite true. But the only way to leave the clan is to get expelled from it.

In old times (when the menu didn't reject people joining as "Player"), my server had an unique feature - it automatically renamed everyone who joined as "Player" to some silly names. Some of these names were kept by the "Pwayerz" for more than some weeks, and those ended up on this website:

[DBIS]: Datenbank- und Informationssysteme (names like Sgt. Fault, Gen. Error, Mem O'Ryleak, Dangling P. Ointer)

Some fella, (Beodon I think), asked me if I wanted to be in the FN clan. I agreed and told him I would be sending him a PM message... BUT the message I sent him is still in my 'outbox'.

Does this mean it hasn't been sent OR does it mean he hasn't read it?

BTW, I realise this doesn't really relate to this topic, strictly speaking, but I was hoping that he might read it, ( the topic I mean), and respond.

It seems to be rather easy to miss the 'new messages' popup as browsers tned to suppress it and some do not show this clearly enough.. One of the reasons why the email is still better But default settings should be to receive a mail of a new PM unless the users changes this in his profile..
