    This is a simple assault map with one objective and a few turrets, nothing to worry about. You need a brand new SVN for it to work correctly.

    Artificial Intelligence, Satallite Stationed.


    Men's Liberty Union terrorists have gained access to the EVAD Project satellite, which is in orbit around the Red Planet for preliminary testing before placement in Earth orbit. It is believed that the MLU operatives are in search of the research data from the illegal projects that Akihiko Wakahisa and Meinrad Traugott carried out.

    Akihiko Wakahisa perfected a type of artificial intelligence as part of his attempt to create a perfect wife of a sort for himself. Meinrad Traugott experimented with creating more docile human females as part of a parallel research effort. Both projects were successful. Both were discovered by our coalition government before the data could be revealed to the men of the world. The two culprits with found guilty of crimes against humanity, decency, and of the capital crime of offenses against womanhood. Both were executed. The data, so as not to fall into the hands of the unjust and small minded, was placed on the newly commissioned EVAD Project satellite (which is not linked to any network, for security reasons).

    Akihiko Wakahisa's artificial intelligence programs were re-purposed for use in the Automatic Governance Program (A.G.P.) which was then renamed to the EVAD Project. The modification was done by a former hacker employed by our coalition government who goes by the nickname "Kryplus".

    We must retrieve the memory chips that the research data is held on. They are located in the central core of the satellite computer. This must be done before the Men's Liberty Union operatives access the data themselves and transmit the information. Other than the MLU terrorists, little opposition should be met: the satellite is equipped with a few turrets (again, for security purposes) which should be taken out easily with the long range rifles you have been equipped with. Enter the satellite through one of the top auxiliary exits: these are small access shafts which can be cleared with a single grenade.

  • Anyone know what this nice little hallway is based off of? Hint: when you get to this section of the map you should play the song Seizure of Power by Marylin Manson.

    This map is beatable. To beat it quickly enough if you are facing opposition you do need a good team though:
    1) someone who is good at nexuiz movment and trick jumps to get past the crusher/infared hallway and open up the auxillary halls for the rest of the team.
    2) someone who's a quick and accurate shot with the camping rifle to get rid of turrets for the team.
    3) others to fight the defending team.
    4) someone who's studied the map abit to know how to get through the laser grid chamber.

    If you have this you'll crush the defenders.

    Note: this can be played in DM, KH, or (best) Assault.
    Play it on a latest-svn server.

    In this map you are basically breaching a highly fortified artificial-intelligence controlled facility. You're probably going to end up like the people in the video if you make one mistake.

    Good luck, and show vids of your fastest runs through to victory.

  • Links updated to version 13:
    Changes: laser hallway made more difficult and fun.
    Capacitor banks added to explain where the power is stored.
    More DM spawnpoints.
    Crush hallway aux halls now stay open for 10 min rather than 5 once triggered.

  • wohaa! this level is so great i cant beleve boah its awesome...how did you made the moving lasers? :shock: :shock: :shock: :D
    but its very laggy on lowest settings when the laser comes :wink:
    i want to made a level with this too but i cant because i dont know how... :(

    The lasers move by way of a trigger_follow (or func_follow?)
    TZork (I think)'s entity zoo map helped me learn how to use that, as did Divverent, as did entities.def as did experimenting.

  • The lasers should be faster if you have the very latest SVN client/server: in these you can set the dynamic light to be turrned off at the end of the laser per-laser, and that is set so in the map to improve performance (especially in the grid room).

    I don't remeber where the entity zoo map is, it's on div0s site somewhere. However I do have it and I will upload it to a folder on my site when I get home and will post a link to it. It has most all the entities and is very informative as how to use them thusly.

    I guess i need to play it more often. :)

    Thanks :D. If you are having trouble jumping the last "hurdle" in the crush-hallway here is a tip: use the mortar rather than the laser (also, crouch while doing this mortar jump manouver). The mortar seems to work more often for the jump than the laser. What I do is I turn my back to the hurdle, and mortar jump while crouched over it. If you do it right you'll then beable to walk over the octogon triggers and open up the side hallways for 5 min at a time.

    If you're having real trouble you can have a teammate who's good in movement defeat the 1st hall.

  • ive anidea: make checkpoints when player hit it it changes the colot to the teamcolor and the spawnpoints are there (use the cnt for the selection of them by random...)
    so you dont have to start at the beginning :wink: but not to many :P
