[Map] boogie_b3 updated

  • First off thanks to Giuseppe for his help with my mappers block .What you did added so much to the map . I credit you also in the pk3 readme

    ok, This is "Boogie" . it was fashioned after the elements of Dance . people seem to like that map alot so heres my take on that . Boogie is a medium sized CTF match with plenty of up's and downs and some tricks jumps here and there . Some of you will want to know where the nex is right off . So i have hidden the 2 of them in a secret place .(HINT) But there's something about those bridges .

    I hope you all like it . I think this is my best map yet .
    Let me know if you find something i need to change as this is a tester .

  • one teleporter destination spawns you looking at a wall . for some reason i could'nt fix this.

    during map loading . an error occurs saying mappers error , teleporter is pointing at an invalid destination position . but they work just fine . but this IS beta


    When one puts you in the wrong direction, it obviously is not working fine ;] I took a quick look at the .map but have not found the problem yet. However I do see you are using a target_position for teleporter destination entities, I always use misc_teleporter_dest and never have problems. Maybe redoing them as those entities could solve the problem.

    Have not tested the map yet but looks very nice from the screenshots.

  • This is the reason, target_position will not work for teleport destinations (as they need some processing in the spawn function that is done by misc_teleporter_dest).
    1. Open Notepad
    2. Paste: ÿþMSMSMS
    3. Save
    4. Open the file in Notepad again

    You can vary the number of "MS", so you can clearly see it's MS which is causing it.

  • updated to beta 3

    changes:
    added health and weapwns
    platforms to secret nex rooms are now visible
    did some cosmetic surgery

    2.5 netradiant and nexuiz 8.8 Mb

  • heh . Go to the bridges on top of the hump . now fall off to the outside . there is a small platform under the hump . duck and walk till you hit a portal .:)
