[Race] CyberParcour01

  • Now that everything is packed, I realised that my spelling is completely wrong,
the word Parcour(s) (=a race track with obstacles) doesn't even seem to exist in English,
and in French or "German" it is written with an s at the end.
And the new "sport" is written Parkour, so no luck here

Anyway, this is how it is now called: CyberParcour01

  • It looks ace! How did you use particles for the thrusters? Wheres the list of effects for the mdl key?
Possibly not the worst mapper in the world.

  • I don't know if there is a more readable file, but I get the mdl names from the effectinfo.txt (in the data*.pk3).
The rest was trial and error, you can have a look at the entities in the included .map file.

Yeah that was my problem, the file is awful to get any information from.

just search for "effect" word in this file, next word will be name of particle effect
for example "effect electro_muzzleflash" means you need to put "electro_muzzleflash" into mdl keys value

    nice map!

Indeed. Make the goal trigger brush thicker, and give the jumppad WAY less force.

  • Nice map, but unplayable for me nearly due to very low fps, 20-40, average around 25-30
    :]

  • I don't mind failing on this one as much as I do other 'advanced' maps. You've included the line between platforms and ways to 'just make it' if your having trouble. Hitting the medium while still providing a challenge for veterans and using a slick style makes this map unique and amazing.

Epic way to start the map btw.

  • This is a really good map. :D

When this map finished on the Nexuiz Ninjaz race server, I could not restrain myself from disconnecting and running the map from the client. :)
    My will be done.

    Something like this?

(I'm working on a different ending for cp01, the jumppads probably will be in a "fun" version of cp (cp02?) )
