This map supports ONS, CTF, and KH.

In ons there are 2 paths.
    The overland path:

    generator---controlpoint----controlpointINarena---controlpoint---generator

There are spiderbots that can be used to protect the overland route. (created by tZork and Morphed)

    The underland path:

generator--(stairs)---(maze of caverns)---(middle vault: control point) ---- maze of caverns etc --- generator

So overland is 3 control points
    Underland is only 1.

Each control point has spawns attached to it.

Also some new models I made: Peach and Peachtree :) (GPL ofcourse).

I hope this is fun. Give feedback.

  • Hey, give them some time! :P

Also, these bots are an experimental feature, not the easiest to set up, I've seen, so don't expect too much feedback :)
    Meh.

I think the "security certificate" warning scares off some would-be downloaders, in this age of identity theft and such. Using another better known host (divshare?) might increase traffic, imho.

It's funny that they are afraid of the https link to begin with; it shows how ignorant they are. As if a http link could ever be more secure than the https link to the same site!

Maybe no one wants the map. Maybe no one really plays nexuiz (there is only 1 popular server, and only maybe 30 people playing the game at one time.) Maybe alternative-language adverts need to be made for nexuiz (chinese, japanese, italian, russian, etc) so it can gain users from other countries that don't like english?

    I ONSized spirecontrol aswell.

  • Actually, every time I click your unverified certificate link, I get that annoying warning and I just want to forget it and skip that download... But that's my personal reaction to it :p

Mikee, as I said, there only are a few people here who know how to get spiderbots to work, so there's no reason to complain about the lack of feedback :)

And Nexuiz has a limited range of supported characters, so japanese and russian locals will only be able to communicate in english. There's a group of italian players too, and I believe they're promoting the game a bit.
    Meh.

Well there is a map there, not just the vehicles :P

    Thoughts on the map?

What more should I add to the underground (more destinations in addition to the vault area) perhaps?

  • For those of you having trouble with the ssl cert, firefox users can install the Perspectives extention: http://www.cs.cmu.edu/~perspectives/

This makes sure you can safely skip this warning if the site is safe. To be even more secure it's a good thing to add the SSL Blacklist extention that verifies if the ssl cert uses safe cryptography.

  • I'm planning on trying this when 2.5.2 comes out, since my assumption is vehicle support will come with that release.

Screenshots look good though, I can see that like most of your maps it has a high degree of artistic quality.

  • I tried it out, seemed like a good map, just very large, needs a high number of players(64-128). If the community grows enough, all of these huge maps would be perfect. The underground vault was cool but very confusing, it could be hard to navigate. Maybe a little differentiation on textures down there and it would become easier. Looks like a cool map though, need to try a game on it to get the full effect.

    BTW...I have been wondering...does MikeUSA = tundramagi?
