[Your daily q3 map][21]Hipshot - Crescent

    Long time no "daily" q3 map, so have fun with this one!
    Another wonderful map from Hipshot. Originally designed for 1vs1 this map offers a great connectivity and players with good movement skills will love the many possibilities to use shortcuts and trickjumps to their advantage. Duellers should definitely check this out! This map should also work just fine with small ffa or 2vs2 tdm games.

    If you find any flaws in the conversion or have suggestions for the item placement, tell me ;)

    Installation: Save the pk3 to your Nexuiz/data folder. Start Nexuiz and choose the map from the menu.

  • hmm, with my low settings the map somehow looks/feels a bit annoying, since the space to maneuver is not so big, and you have to pay attention to not jump into the water and the like. Another question I have is: where is the mini map? :)

    Other than that the conversion looks good :). As I haven't played the map in a real match yet I cannot give any details about item placement.

    added minimap.
    Still the minimap is screwed up, if you look at it you may get a clue why. It seems like there's some skybox-magic going on... and the indicator doesn't work. I've no idea why... Any help and information appreciated ;)
    That's why cropping only a part of the map for minimap generation would be great.

  • you can crop minimap
    Code: Select all
    size mins_x mins_y mins_z maxs_x maxs_y maxs_z

    this command in .mapinfo selects area for minimap, then just generate one in darkplaces using command "sv_cmd radarmap --force"
