I'm trying to make a little mod for the game, which I already did earlier. But, this time I'm using the Nexuiz 2.1 Source and the frikqcc compiler, which gives the following error:

error: defs.qh:269:"[" is not a type
error: defs.qh:278:"typedef" is not a type
error: defs.qh:279:"typedef" is not a type
error: defs.qh:280:"floatfield" is not a type
error: defs.qh:282:"spawnfunc" is not a type

I'm not much of a coder, but I truly want to know how to fix this. This error is given when I try to compile the original code, I didn't make ANY changes.

Nexuiz is not made for frikqcc, but uses some fteqcc features. Use that compiler in a current version, then it should work.

What version were yo thinking of then? All I could find was version 2.6, here:

might be outdated though. Any other compiler I should use then?

Fteqcc is best for Nexuiz I think... since that is what the developers are using.

No its not
That FAQ is in the Nexuiz/Docs directory, the file KadaverJack gave you the link to is just the latest version in the development repository the devs are working on. Thats also why he said 'noone is reading the FAQ'
