Guys, as kudos said, the logo is not the issue here.

I myself am very fond of the current logo. If you feel like changing it, please don't hijack this thread. Create a new one with proposals and polls and what not.

For anyone who wants to do modeling based on the *current* logo, it now made it to svn.

So please, use this and let's talk about the menu.

The font seen there is the GPL'ed Devanagari Samanata. It was created for an entirely different purpose (support for indian scripts) , and we're not very fond of it either... but was the closest to what we had in mind: sans-serif and a tad square-ish.

So... still taking suggestions. :)

For the main menu, yes. However, I think the things that need the most work are the submenus: server browser, create game, options, etc. I'd like to see some mockups of what could be done with those moreso than the first menu that comes up.

I just made that logo cause NotMe "invited" me to do it. And as I said, I can make it lot better, that was just for funzies without planning it too well. I know it looks bad, but I'm not even planning on making it. Just wanted to make a point there.

We went through the painstaking :) process of selecting fonts for the menu -- there were 6700 to start with, now we're down to 12.

I wrote an application for you to vote on them: http://89.32.214.250:81/nexuiz/
It will stay online for as long as it's needed (hopefully my flimsy isp won't change my ip).

Please read the long and boring stuff on the front page before you start voting, and remember you can stop and continue some other time.

Tip: although you can't "access" the specific fonts until you're done voting, you can refresh the font vote page and a new random font will be served. (it's an errrm... feature i decided to leave in). So you can sort of preview the fonts before voting on them.

And please... don't vote multiple times.
