Well I have been working casually on this for quite a while now. It came out very nicely. You can use this picture for whatever. If this were a commission I would get a pretty penny for this, but I am doing this for free, so lucky you.
That work looks very good. The textures are outstanding. I have a proposition for you. I also work on modelling for nexuiz. I have models in the works, but I suck at texturing. Maybe we could work together on something. I have tools to animate, and tools to convert from OBJ format -> SMD format -> Zym format. Plz get back to me. PM me if youre interested.
I posted a call for skinners in the editing forum, here is something that may help someone come up with something better than what I have so far. What I have done is by no means complete.
Looks absolutely sweet so far. And looks kinda low poly also, which is good. It could replace the currently highest poly model.. so the average fps will be higher
You should do what all the char mappers are doing nowadays. Make a really high version, make a normal map from it, then apply the norm to the low poly.
There are a couple of changes to the character concept. Mostly in the legs.
I think it came out better then the Marine because I did a concept before hand.
So, who will rig this model because I am not. Genegineer you said you have the tools and skills, right.
