  • Installed it on RBI, and removed Tripzone from the maplist. The joke is hereby over :)
    1. Open Notepad
    2. Paste: ÿþMSMSMS
    3. Save
    4. Open the file in Notepad again

You can vary the number of "MS", so you can clearly see it's MS which is causing it.

  • Texture aligning on caps (GtkRadiant 1.4):

Select the cap and press SHIFT+S. This opens up the Surface Inspector for patches in general. (Note: Just pressing "S" opens up the Surface Inspector for standard brushes)

Now click "CAP". This should do it.

Tip: You can easily shift textures when holding SHIFT and pressing the arrow-keys (of course you must have selected the face with the texture you want to shift).

Also you might want to take a look in the official Radiant Manual which should be in a subfolder of your Radiant-Installation for more useful stuff.

  • or ctl+shift+n to cycle cap alignment.

    Some more alignment tips:
Keep texture move/rotation lock off on big surfaces if possible (texure->texture lock ->[ move|rotate ] ) That autoagicaly kees the textures aligned.
Build the bulk geometry with caulk texture, then texure its visibla faces.
For repeting geometry, build the section with trims/details between the sections. when duplicating it there no need to match the texture alignment.
    HOF:
<Diablo> the nex is a "game modification"
<Diablo> quake1 never had a weapon like that.
<Vordreller> there was no need for anything over 4GB untill Vista came along
    <Samua>]Idea: Fix it? :D
<Samua>Lies, that only applies to other people.
