  • No its not working, it still says failed to load project file, please enter a valid project file. Also when you said make sure it's the right one. There's more than one scripts folder in the baseq3 folder? If not entities.def is in the scripts folder in the baseq3 folder. Also when I put the textures models and scripts folders in the baseq3 folder they replaced the ones that were there for Q3, is that right also?

Well, not if you're going to make Q3 levels - or play Q3 for that matter. You should probably have made backups of those folders. But you can probably just re-install Q3 if you want to play it again.

I wonder if there wasn't some script that had to be run before I could use MacRadiant - so it would know it was supposed to use Q3 to make maps. I think you should read through the various threads I've started in this forum. They contain the info I needed to get started with MacRadiant.

  • OK I think I got it to work. I re-installed radiant, and this time when I moved the textures models and scripts folders to the baseq3 folder, except this time I didn't replace the ones that were there I placed the whole folder inside the q3 ones. I placed the entities.def folder in the scripts folder that I placed in the baseq3 folder. I don't know if that makes sense to you, but Radiant runs now.

  • well I made a room and created a spawn location, and saved it. Then when I tried to select a bsp from the menu radiant crashed. When I re opened radiant and tried to load the project it wouldnt load and in the radiant console it said "no module for map interface type" Does anyone have any idea what this means?

It's the ".map" file you're supposed to load for editing. Not the ".bsp". The .bsp file is the final product you bundle in the .pk3 file.

  • Hello peoples.

I have radiant, and I have nexuiz (obviously), but I don't have Q3. Also, I tried to download that nexuiz.game file, but the download site expired. Could someone tell me where to get that .game file? I think I could figure the rest out on my own. Oh, and I am on a Mac

  • It's been a long time now, so sorry about the dead topic/bumping, but I'm still failing to load radiant.

I reinstalled x11, and I can start radiant, but even when I use a normal, built in game (wolfenstein et) I always get a message about "didn't find any valid game descriptions, aborting" I don't know what this is, or why it spams my console after saying this. I don't think I really downloaded entities.def either, but that shouldn't be my main concern when it doesn't even work for wolfenstein.

    Please help
