  • To Fog-cull in Nexuiz, maximum visibility distance must be set before compile, then the fog CVar is tuned until the density of the fog hides the non-drawn areas, include such modified setting with the .pk3.

  • The water, texture blending and terrain sculpt is top notch so why are all the bases so square? It takes away from the overall impact of an otherwise EXCELLENT map.
    Maybe you can send the map to stralman to do the indoor and bases THEN torus can do some models or lighting THEN tZork can put his turrets in THEN....ULTIMATE NEXUIZ AWESOMENESS... or not.

    You mean, put one on any map and make it directly usable?

    If so, well, I just coded that, I can spawn clonespawns :)
    Now I must make them editable/removable...

  • Ew no, can't do that. I can't really make them visible (well, maybe some little effect in the middle but no fancy box), and I don't want players to spam these... See, one of them can make a clone per server frame, so ten is way too much for a server.

    I am programming an ingame editor, you can spawn clonespawns, but you need to get a special status from the server admin first.

  • Man that video gave me an idea for a mod or something. Nexuiz Tower Defense! Wow wouldn't that be cool? Maybe not so much in building towers but defending the base from incoming waves either for a certain amount of waves or time.
    Or possibly there could be two teams, the first team to destroy the enemy's base wins, almost like ONS but in tower defense mode :D

    How awesome it would be.
    Nice movie though, fun to watch.

    Ah yeah, I think DOTA was the thing I was thinking about, not tower defense. Or at least, DOTA would be a more accurate way of describing what just took place. :)


    I want to make a DOTA for nexuiz. Wanted to for a long time. Forget leveling up just put cash 4 kills to buy upgrades. Throw in different abilities for all of the nexuiz characters (not classes each player is unique) and I think we have a mod people may actually play.

    its an remake of the 0ups map first want just to convert the map but then i remake it because in the readme: You may not edit...
    but some brushes are invisible...how to fix it? and i have to edit it because some things are to small for the right usage and so on ;)
    The aim of the level is to improove your jumpskills and to learn some new jumps! like dojo but more freestyle have race(dont work xD), ctf and the other who dont need extra entities ;)

    I been waiting for huge, vertical maps of this kind !

    Maybe with the new bot scripting feature which is on svn^H^H^H^H^H^H^H^H^H^H^H^H^H^H^H^H^Hsomeday one can use bots for big, coordinated jumps and stuff like that, now that we have space for doing so ;)

    is something wrong?

    ...i find the light should be better the shadows are silly but only made for a better light because before it was dark and much more boring
    and the dark arear has no contrast so itas hard to find the war ill upload the beta and then you can see the naked level xD

  • I just posted a comment at the video before seeing this post asking is it an edit or a remake, so you're remaking it... wow, nice one. Please don't perfect it by including the broken water shader :D
