  • Really nice there cortez! I have missed a bit of horror in nexuiz since I have been playing Frictional Games: Penumbra (Bonus link).
I really have to learn Blender, z80's most awesome exporter work is a fair bit of incentive for doing so. :)

  • (out of the box) defrag map support, now in trunk!
The code learns which path you take, stores that in a file and uses that in the future. This is because defrag checkpoints aren't ordered in any way, but the Nexuiz code assumes they are.
Here's an example of a map that was "automatically" waypointed by players on the [NL] Nexrun CTS server (also the current server record :)):

  • Looks nice. I hope to maybe do more remakes of Quake 2 maps or orphaned nexuiz maps. Might work on smelter again too for the sake of more eye candy. I know theres a list of them around someplace...
Possibly not the worst mapper in the world.

  • Imho eyecandy is ok on that map, but I agree it's a bit small.

  • I can always scale it up more. Maybe 1.4 instead of 1.3 next time.

  • Just a note to you guys, we now have a "[youtube]" tag where you can place a video directly into the thread... Just put the last part of the URL from YouTube in between the youtube tag, and it will be added.
Do it yourself, or stop complaining.

I second this. It's possible with the new software and I've see it done on other boards (even set it up once I believe).

  • Cool to see celshading done tough glsl.. But i must say, im not to impressed tbh (and to fair i seldom is by cslshading). CelShading usually looks preddy bland compared to whats its trying to imitate. This approach looses all texture detail, to make it look good you'd need to somehow process the textures too since some contain rather strong features that get lost this way. Also the outlining came off as a bit to weak to me.

<Diablo> the nex is a "game modification"
<Diablo> quake1 never had a weapon like that.
<Vordreller> there was no need for anything over 4GB untill Vista came along

  • Unreal Engine-style WarpZones!

    1. Open Notepad
    2. Paste: ÿþMSMSMS
    3. Save
    4. Open the file in Notepad again

You can vary the number of "MS", so you can clearly see it's MS which is causing it.
