Is there a 'ladder' brush? I look in 'common', and don't see one.. piecing it together from this tut:

I do see an entity item called 'func_ladder' when I right click on the map, are there ladders available in this engine?

I figured it out:

a ladder, need i say no more

------- NOTES --------
graba trigger brush and put it infront of the part that you want the player to climb

Just had to use my eyes
