Work in Progress ... some map Using Model's for detail ...

  • My next map will be some carrier space ship with some huge hangar ... flying through some hyperspace tunnel ... a bit like that from UT99 Hyperspace ...

    I just finished some model i want to include in that map ... Some of this ships should fly around that carrier and some of them will be idle in the Hangar ...

    I will post more screenshots here when i have showable parts of that map ...
    Hope this will top the four maps i made till now at all ...

    By the way there's some question with that ... is it possible to get some of that ships fly around the carrier throwing bombs on it ? ... maybe as some func train with path nodes triggering that bomb event ... ?

  • It's a nice concept yes. Also very lowpoly which might suit a game like this nicely. However the bumps looks weird to me, they're too accentuated in my opinion. And on the last picture (and a bit on the first) the wings are too glossy, or have too high specular highlight (the green part). It reminds me of some kind of glass. I think it's the greasyness in the textures (on the whole model) that throws this model of. Otherwise great concept and model.

  • Hm ... i tested and tryd with this thing ... it wont fit in the game like it is ... so looks like im not finished as i thought ... there's much work to get that thing working like i want ...

    the Bumpmap and the gloss isnt the problem ... the textures will apear very different in the game ... just take a look on my weaponconcept ... there u can see the difference ...
