  • I have been looking through the manual searched google, and I haven't found anything that I think works with nexuiz config of gtkradiant. I am wanting to know how I import a md3 model into gtkradiant. I'm sorry for the "n00bness" of this question but honestly I don't know. If anyone has a site or if they are willing to explain how to do it I would be grateful.

Also, while I am in the question asking mood, how do I add and use a skybox? that is how do I have the sky texture, do i need to set a size somehow, does it set the size for me. Basically I need someone to completely explain the concept of a skybox.

  • No idea how to do it right. I know you create a "misc_model" entity and then select the model file. But when I did that on capturecity, the texture of the model did not show up. It however worked just fine after compiling, and only shows as "shader not found" in Radiant.
    1. Open Notepad
    2. Paste: ÿþMSMSMS
    3. Save
    4. Open the file in Notepad again

You can vary the number of "MS", so you can clearly see it's MS which is causing it.

This usualy happens when you model has a shader/texture name thats relative to models own path. ie "mymodel_texture". to make preview work right in radiant it needs a full path, like "models/coolstuff/mymodel_texture". (or use of _remap)

<Vordreller> there was no need for anything over 4GB untill Vista came along

<Samua>Lies, that only applies to other people.

  • I used _remap to make it work in the engine. But GtkRadiant seems to ignore that.
