  • Beta release is planned for next thursday, or friday if we find bugs meanwhile.

    We tested it last night and it was the funniest.thing.ever :o

  • Revenant, if you're on irc hang out at #pb.nexuiz next week. We'll get you in on the testing.

    Fridays first official beta test went very well. Only bugs found were some small ones in the new maps that are easily fixed. The last game we played at revamped basketball was epic by the way. It's a shame I don't auto record demos at the moment or I would have made a video of the last minutes. Red Dragon and MrBougo stealing the game from FruitieX and myself in overtime with a nice distance shot. I was absolutely stunned :D

    I'm trying to steal the ball, however it was difficult with those settings. It should be easier now with tweaked settings.

  • About the sounds:

    The sounds that are in the mod now are just placeholders. The whole mod needs to be GPL compatible and we don't have any good GPL compatible sounds for the mod yet. I'm hoping someone who can do sounds would think about making some custom sounds to use for:

    A. The sound a ball makes when it bounces on the floor [currently: 'boing' from roflsounds]
    B. The sound when a ball is dropped [currently a whistle, could still be a whistle but maybe of the football whistle variety]
    C. The sound when someone steals the ball [currently also the whistle, again, it's just a placeholder].
