Nexuiz Gameplay
My first attempt in editing with Final Cut Studio 2.

I had only 3 demos because my Demo-Version of SnapzPro [OS X ScreenCapture-Tool] expired... So there's not much variety. In fact two of them were on the same server.
And because I'm new to the prog, don't expect special effects of any kind. The only thing I managed to do is my hyperactive editing style. Combined with the music it captures the speed of the game pretty good imo.
Quality is poor (YouTube)...

You know you can do cl_capturevideo 1 to save a demo as an AVI, right? Then you dont need to use screen capture software, which is heavy on the CPU.

But I really like your editing- it's well put together.

At the time I was recording these I didn't Anyway next time I'm gonna do it this way.

Good video, indeed shows how hectic Nexuiz action can get. I also applaud the description of the video at YouTube, almost sounds like a commercial from one of the devs

One other thing I noticed... in the Minsta scenes... are you holding your mouse button down all the time ? Then an easier way to play is by typing +attack in the console

I'm sick of all these kitschy Metal/Techno frag-movies. Electro (not Techno) displays the cold and sterile futuristic athmosphere of these shooters best imo. And with that nice DnB-touch the speed actually fits to what's going on on the screen.

My intention was to attract new people (especially my friends) to the game showing how fast-paced it can be. Resisting the trend for tactic shooters.
