  • Rebecca, really nice model and important work so far, you are showing it's possible to create player models for nexuiz using blender. Congrats :)

P.S. Fisume, you answer made me remember the spidflisk (Dresk's nexuiz mod) documentation :
FEATURE : Removed Various Textual / Sound Feedback

The proof of concept was already done with my first low poly attempt. I'm curious now if creating normal maps from the high poly model for the (yet to be done) low poly model in Blender will work out as expected in the game. And if I bone/vertex weights will really work with dpmodel... I'm writing my experiences down during modelling, hopefully that will make some nice documentation when I'm finished.

Black people have not only another skin color than white people, but also a different face anatomy. Although I like the idea of different skin colors, it's a bit more complicated than just, well, changing skin color. A latin chicka version might be easier, though. :)

  • No updates yet. I'm on a longish business trip right now and don't have much time, but I will resume working on this model as soon as I am home. Just so that you know...
