new player model on darkplaces / dpmod

  • i try to make a md3 model for player but the engine it doesn't load it at all
    i use blender with md3 export script

  • I'm not a modeler, but I'm gonna take a stab in the dark and say that people will need more information about your problem before they can help you.

    Like....what were your steps? What OS are you running? Did you get any error messages during the process? etc.

  • Windows Xp as os

    i just want to replace the default player.mdl model in dpmod with something made in blender
    and i read that darkplaces can accept .md3 format as model

    but the engine display only a cone

  • After reading through this thread, I was able to export my model and animations from Blender as smd files and then use zmodel to compile it as a zym. If you can't get md3 to work (Personally, I haven't tried that), you might have more luck with the smd/zym method...
