About to release a map, however, upon set_gctf 1; restart the following console error is raised.

Nexuiz kicks the game mode back to DM


So I googled. The only reference I found was:

There is a function in that file which contains the above error msg. It indicates to me that it can't find mapinfo. I made one, restarted, same problem. Also after making a .txt file, the problem persists.

Could someone expound upon that error? I'm stuck.

set_gctf 1 isn't a command.

set g_ctf 1 is.

I don't believe set is required.

Also are you sure the auto generated .mapinfo file is alright? You should have edited and MOVED it into your file structure/pk3 file.

esteel. Now that you mention it. This is the first time I've moved the working map directory out of ~/.nexuiz/maps/whatever/mymap.XXX

I'm using a git repoitory for the map to maintain sanity, and linking (ln -s) the mymap.XXX files into the ~/nexuiz/maps/whatever/ directory. I'll try packaging it into a pk3 to see if the problem persists.

I'm not sure how you link it into your other stuff.. just make sure all the mapfiles can be accessed via nexuiz/data/maps/NAME.xxx including the mapinfo file!
