How to compile with deluxemapping?

  • How do I compile my map in radiant with active deluxemapping support?

  • Use the q3map2 option -deluxe
    1. Open Notepad
    2. Paste: ÿþMSMSMS
    3. Save
    4. Open the file in Notepad again

    You can vary the number of "MS", so you can clearly see it's MS which is causing it.

  • use the -deluxe switch for the light stage.
    like : "G:\GtkRadiant1.5.0\q3map2.exe" -light -deluxe -bounce 8 -filter -patchshadows -super 2 "G:\Quake III Arena\baseq3\maps\stralegeo4_alpha1.bsp"
    bleach->aneurysm->straledm5->dieselpower->space-fun->o-fun->runningman->runningman1on1->aggressor(conversion)->soylent->bloodprison->bluesky->ruiner->reslimed->strength
