I am still in the early planning phase of my next map, and I cannot decide what to focus on, building a DM or a CTF map...

So I thought I cast a vote here, to find out what kind of map is more sought after.

We need more good quality CTF maps....badly!

Something in the 5v5 to 8v8 range.

@Dokujisan: What do you think of the ctf map "Moonstone", if you know it? Not about the looks, but the size and layout? The map I am planning would have similar dimensions.

I'd appreciate both versions.

Good examples are:
Basement > BasementCTF, (not that these are good maps, but the conversion DM > CTF is good)
Running Man > RunningmanCTF

I happen to really like that map. There are some details I would change about the base area, but it's a good map in general. Some people don't like it (I think) because its rather large and takes a while to cross it (unless you're good at fast movement, which many aren't).

at moonstone its hard to get your flag back IMO because the flag carrier can always move around (or hide.. )

heh runningman is a good map

I'm about to make my own spin off of transrapid if I can be bothered.
