Different skies in one map?

  • Working on the first details of my next map (CTF), I encountered a problem.

I intend to use different skies (day/evening/night), in completely separated (and sealed off from each other) parts of the map, only connected with teleporters.

But, in a test map, this did not work, it uses only 1 of the sky shaders (and set of textures) everywhere.
Now, before I invest time trying to get this to work, I should ask the ones who know: Is it even possible to use different sky shaders in one map?.

  • I tried this previously and it didn't work. The engine is only meant to handle one sky.

  • What if you'd try a workaround, like the sky itself hasn't to be a real skybox, but just a room with a sky texture?

Unless you don't want them to paralax, that won't work.
