  • For some odd reason I can't listen to it :(
I'm on Vista, and using flashblock, but I can see the player.

  • Nice one SC0RP. I see this getting used for cutscenes in singleplayer if it comes to fruition :D
Possibly not the worst mapper in the world.

  • I am getting really curious to hear what divVerent, morfar, tZork or Samual think of using any of the music that SC0RP has created for Nexuiz, for official inclusion in Nexuiz?

There's so many official maps that still don't have their own unique music and that have music that doesn't really stand out, wouldn't SC0RP's tracks do alot for them?

I asked him about that earlier:

All of my music is compatible, no samples taken from film, tv or stolen from other peoples music. All original or taken from free to use sample packs. Im sure by now the nex devs are aware of my music, as yet ive never been approached. I would be happy for them to be released in the official game and I def feel many of them would work well in nexuiz!

Sweet! I hope they include some of his tracks.

  • The music is great once again, we just need to have it in Nexuiz! :)

Would you be willing to release some of your tracks like Meltdown and On A Dream under the GPL so they could be included in Nexuiz?

I appreciate your support in encouraging my music to included in nexuiz Flying Steel.

Im starting to get very frustrated with this question of GPL. I have stated many times that releasing the music under GPL is perfectly fine. All the samples used are either free to be used by anyone or are licensed to me to be used in any musical composition I wish to use them for. There are no copyright infringements or issues with any contents of my music. I fully understand the GPL issue and I would not jeopardize any legal issues regarding Nexuiz. I totally understand the concern regarding legal issues and I appreciate the commitment to keep to legal terms.

The offer of the music still stands, I have put a lot of my time into these production's. I would love them to be included in the full Nexuiz release. Any of the music I have posted can be included in Nexuiz under GPL.

It would really help if a developer could please comment on this ongoing issue. I have offered the music, now I need to know where it stands with regards to being released in Nexuiz. Maybe its not the kind of thing they are after, but to know would be a great help.

  • I indeed love your music a lot.. And would love to see it in Nexuiz. I'm sure quite a few could be used in several locations such as single player and maps which need a unique tune. The other place this could fit is in the tutorial for Nexuiz that FruitieX is developing, or possibly a storyline mode which has been in discussion for a while. As long as licenses aren't an issue with the music, I don't see why some of your songs couldn't make it into 2.5.2 or 2.5.3.. I'll see what div0 thinks, I know FruitieX already likes most of your songs and wants to use one in the tutorial.
Do it yourself, or stop complaining.

I have PMed all of the developers about this and pointed them to this thread. Hopefully they will give an official answer shortly.

  • I cannot play the music on that page.

    Using Opera, Linux.

The "northern lights" track is in Nexuiz now, for the tutorial map, and actually quite nice (although maybe a bit too similar to Supertuxkart tracks).
    1. Open Notepad
    2. Paste: ÿþMSMSMS
    3. Save
    4. Open the file in Notepad again

You can vary the number of "MS", so you can clearly see it's MS which is causing it.

I'm not sure why people are having problems playing the music on soundcloud. I can only suggest listening on a diff comp or browser.

Who is Supertuxkart? And where can I hear his music?

  • Well, I don't have any other computer here that does NOT use Linux and Opera...

What happened to the old days of direct HTTP links :(
    1. Open Notepad
    2. Paste: ÿþMSMSMS
    3. Save
    4. Open the file in Notepad again

  • Here, the music track from Supertuxkart I was referring to:

    https://supertuxkart.svn.sourceforge.ne ... m_boom.ogg
    1. Open Notepad
    2. Paste: ÿþMSMSMS
    3. Save
    4. Open the file in Notepad again

  • Cool, things are finally happening here. :)

    I have more proposals:

    1) Put Meltdown in bloodprison, bloodprisonctf and egg 'n bacon. (Meltdown must be in Nexuiz! :D)
    2) Put Welcome To Nexuiz in evilspace.

    3) Put On A Dream in dieselpower (diesel's current music is already used in desertfactory).

    4) Put SC0RP The Wall in basement and basementctf.

You mean Total Meltdown, it's much cooler. Though I agree, I love Meltdown as well, but Total Meltdown rules Meltdown.

No way, Meltdown is unstoppable. Total Meltdown just doesn't have the punch and the teeth of the original Meltdown.

Meltdown is totally out of control, and it fits perfectly with bloodprison and egg 'n bacon, which are out of control maps- pure chaotic fun.

  • Total Meltdown is more cocky than the whimpy Meltdown. :P It makes my balls move and that's a rare thing to happen I gotta tell you.
Well, to be more serious, I do feel Total Meltdown to have more attitude than it's predecessor and it's all about attitude in Nexuiz, I believe many people agree with me there. I also know morfar likes Total Meltdown better than it's predecessor.

  •

Total Meltdown is not fully finished, I actually knocked it up in about 2 hours, stripping down the original, re-sequencing and editing. Total Meltdown the finished article will hopefully be completed by the end of next week.

Will keep you posted on progress...
