Let me ask the ugly question which has not been asked...
Does It Support Fullbright?

or do you mean the neon like skins?

Actually, only one model in nexuiz supports fullbright (Mulder, I believe). All other models just pathetically brighten skins, which doesn't really help visibility. HOCTF, HODM, and the Batcaves all enforce fullbright (and, by extension, Mulder). Play on those servers, then contrast it with practically any other server (NN servers, for instance). Fullbright skins must be made by modeler, and it would be a great benefit to the future of nexuiz if all models came with fullbright support. The above mentioned servers won't just be a mob of Mulders anymore.
