Hey people... maybe a crazy idea but would there be someone (with sufficient coding knowledge... e.g. not me) be interested in getting the Transfusion game into Nexuiz?

Both use the Darkplaces engine, but the development of Transfusion has stopped a while ago, and it is clearly lacking a lot of the polish and improvements Nexuiz has gotten since then.

So maybe making it a Nexuiz mod (which I guess should be relatively little work) it could automatically benefit from improvements done in Nexuiz and maybe it would also rekindle interest in further development.

So... any takers? If there is a need for a 3D artist to make some changes to models needed for the integration into Nexuiz I would of course offering my help.

A mod? This is a completely different game, and is outdated aswell -- Basically, I don't think it's a good idea to be "included" with Nexuiz in any way, it's a very separate game.

Anyway, I personally have no interest in this honestly. :X

I am not talking about integration into Nexuiz... just like Counterstrike was never integrated into Half-Life.

Just that you can download a version which you can add to your nexuiz install, or maybe a stand alone version but the engine always 100% identical to Nexuiz.

I think you are saying you want us to maintain Transfusion. We don't have time for that... Or you just want a newer DP version for Transfusion, but you don't need us for that.
