What is the best animation software for a beginner? I am looking to start dabbling with making my own little cartoon show with some sort of software. I am not very experinced in actual animation, but have story boards and such down.

You can use 2D animation programs such as Toon Boom,Digicel Flipbook and TVPaint that are fairly inexpensive. They are the good for 2D animation specially for beginner. It is easy to use so there is no problem to learn.
