  • The Weapon is my first replacement for the nex.
    I have serval Models in Progress so this one is just old Crap ;) ...

    *Update* :
    The File was uploadet here ( I'll put it on some better location soon ) :

    Remember to delete the first "d" of the filename, i dont know why the zip file was renamed when i uploadet it.
    The filename must be "docs_deep_drill_mk2.pk3"

    There are two variations of the Map :
    docs_deep_drill_mk2_insta - with instagib Weaponset ...
    dm_docs_deep_drill_mk2 - with standart weaponset ...

    Don't get too excited, I don't know if I'm ever going to finish this...

    so far I've gotten the server to keep track of which class each player is. I haven't put any modifiers in, like only this class can pickup these weapons, this class spawns with these weapons, etc.

  • I'm killing this Nanpu Interchange map, the patches that are the main component make it way too slow. I don't see it ever becoming playable. I'll use all the bits to build something else. :/

  • Before you kill it, try compiling it with the option -patchmeta in the BSP stage. Maybe that helps.
    1. Open Notepad
    2. Paste: ÿþMSMSMS
    3. Save
    4. Open the file in Notepad again

    You can vary the number of "MS", so you can clearly see it's MS which is causing it.

    I think every map i make is a bit unreal style -> the reason for that could be, that Unreal, Unreal 2, Unreal2 XMP, UT99 and UT03 were the games that hit the greatest marks into my Brain ;) ...

    By the Way here's a shot of the new map im Workin on :

    When it's finished it's goin to be some kind of Cargo Space Port.

    There are various other maps in Progress like that trainmap im workin on since i started to Map for this game ;) but it's still looking like Crap. Another map Concept i got here is some kind of Silver city ( means a huge map with large open area's ) and especially there's a concept of some Temple Map ( The Temple of Time ) ...
    I hope i'm able to manage all that projects to get that works finished before i'm old and Grey.

    I think i will put more focus on my model works for the Moment, cause i didn get any further with that till now. I think this thing's are more important cause Nexuiz have houndret's of nice maps but only a few nice looking weapons ...

    By the way, my coder Promised me that he will have more Time for our Mod when he finished up his "Abitur". I wonder if we get ever finished with that Thing.

  • Doc your nex definitely looks like it has the kind of "heftiness" that a weapon like the nex needs. I still wish we could see some update on the concept of the alien-looking nex from the old days, though

    I completely agree with this. I would love to see that laser in 2.4. The CG will probably have to wait.

    Minigun is too conventional, I like the current one, but the laser is a must have! (I hope it'll heva a pirat too ;) )

  • The minigun is too conventional?! Look what we have now. A boxy thing that vaguely resembles a WW2 machine gun. I would rather have the minigun :D
