  • Here's some Example of my new Texture works :

    I just took some Photo from the Walkway in front of my House and made it fit together as Texture, addet a Bump, Specular ( Gloss ) and Normal Map ( Made with crazy Bump ).
    I think this one really looks pretty good.

    Just imagine what's possible with Nexuiz 2.4 GFX ... O_o ...
    by the Way i really like V 2.4, Good work AT Team ! ...

  • Very nice! Crazy bump is fantastic for getting nice normal maps from photos.

    You should make (build) your own, that one is horrible :D If I'd some basic 3D modelling skills I'd surely replace that crap :D
    Btw. the tree looks cool, I'll borrow that one sometime, if you don't mind :)

  • No no no, you might misunderstood me there, sorry for that :) I really enjoyed mapping "Hot Grounds", imho that's my best map (yet), and I'm contented with it. What I wanted to say is, that that cavern has not turned out the way I wanted originally, it contains lot's of gaps and overlapping brushes. Wieved with a more critical eye, it's a crap, I should replace it with something better mapped/modelled (I just don't know if it worths it).
    But I'm really happy if you or someone else likes it, and places it in another map too, (so it means it can't suck THAT BIG TIME :D ), that's why I made it and released the map source too. Tho I just strongly advice to study it, and build your own using my work as a guide about what to do/not to do. ;)
    About those trees, please PM me where I can get them :)

  • For anyone who want's it -> here's the first Person model of my latest shotgun Model.

    Install Notes :

    Just put the two folders from the zip into the data folder from nexuiz 2.4.
    If u want the weapon with shirt and pant colors, just copy the File "shotgun_TEX_shirt.tga" from the textures folder, rename the copyd file to "shotgun_TEX_pants.tga".
    The color Textures will be placed additiv on the Weaponmodel, so u just have to make everythin shirt colored black in the pants file and everythin pants colored black in the shirt file.

  • that was a quick reply torus ...
    -> by the way i tested ur announcer sounds ... there's one matter with them -> they are to silent just make them a bit louder and they will fit great into the game ...

    I like the countdown sounds when Ammo is empty in Minstagib ...

  • no i didn forget them ... and time is enough too ... but i wasnt able to compile a workin md3 model ... <_< ... the two missing models are safed as md3 ... thats why i didn make any of them till now ... i wish only one of my tools would work ... -_- ... but they wont ...

    I used the zym importer to get the geometery into blender and the weapon exporter to output the md3's. It's not scaled perfectly but here is the shotgun (blender file included):

  • Finally i found some time to start working on a map again.
    Still very alpha. Layout is not finished. Lighting is way too dark, but i like how it (slowly) comes along.

    It's using quakestat for querying, so it should support anything qstat will, which is like every fps game ever made.
    Everything is designed to be fairly reusable, but at least initially it will be Nexuiz-only since that is all I play.

    Then again, once it's feature-complete, I was planning on removing it's dependency on qstat and writing my own query-er to get more detailed info like team scores, player models & colors, and the server's game mode/settings.
    It's still very early and I haven't had much time for this recently, so anything could happen!
