  • No, it's not an UT remake, but UT2k4 - is one of my favorite DM, so some kind of resemblances is possible.
    I think, Breathium will be finished at this month.

    Is it worth continuing with the health / armour bars? They need to be moved to a more suitable position etc.

  • Nexuiz' health/armour display requires precision, due to the exact damages of hit scan weaponry and varying gameplay tactics as a result, a prominent example being the 140 damage on first Nex impact.

  • I could see an usage in ons or assault, to display the current health status of the element to destroy or capture.

  • Health bars... hmm I like my number at present. Put it in but make sure it can be turned off.
    Possibly not the worst mapper in the world.

  • Continued the work on a half new DM map, an offspring of Killall Organic. It'll be called

    Sacrifice

    (ask HarryButt about this ;) )

    I've made some more space in the middle area, and I've reworked the pillars in the middle:

    I've corrected the doors, and I've closed the way to the right side. I'm not sure about it yet, but I think there'll be a teleporter out:

  • Wow looks really beautiful. I already liked killallorganic a lot and now with some more open spaces and eyecandy - this will be awesome.

    As for the phallic association I suppose you could see a phallus almost everywhere, if you really wanted to. I for one didn't have that association at all.
    <Community>: Why was the name "Nexuiz" licensed to IllFonic in a way that allows IllFonic to use the name without any suffix or subtitle for a commercial console game?

    Started on a 1024 skin, click for fullsize.

    I'll probably GPL the model once the skin is done so it can be used with the current animation set. I intend to make custom animations for this, but that'll take ages (I'm a n00b animator) and add months to the release time.


    ...and that broken wall in C.Brutail's map only looks phallic if you're actually walking around looking for penis-shaped objects ;)

  • New shotgun - early high-poly model, but the general base design is done. Will post more when I have more to show. Not sure when this is going to be due to college and stuff.
