  • wow nice. i love those ornaments. Please provide the texture set with different color themes when you release it. I'd also love to see some fitting marble textures. Greath theme. Steampunk ftw! With the correct lighting this can give some great maps.

  • I just had to do some quick mapping. I wanted to finish it on one day, but it just grew. Lighting is not done, so is the item placement. the layout will change slightly as well i guess, as soon as i find some time (which is rare these days)

  • This might be slightly OT, but alot of these maps you are showing on here look like quality work, and yet there are not so many maps that actually come with Nexuiz by default, especially for gametypes like CTF, Onslaught and Assault. So is there anything stopping these from getting included with Nexuiz itself?

    Yes, there are reasons:
    1st: not always to totally GPL. That's a major pain in the ass.
    2nd: Some of the maps might look good, but the framerates are terrible, or they have a nasty bug somewhere. Eg. Killall Organic has an unfixable vis problem, that halves the fps at one point even on my pc (!). There's only one thing I can do about it: remake the map from scratch, with a cleaner brushwork.

    @cortez: No, this is not cbdm2, this is cbdm3 (no name yet). cbdm2 aka. "Vociferous" look like this now:

  • im makin' Capturecity3 its a quick map which i started yesterday and it is near finished (just choose good compile but my pc is damn slow)

    -deleted func_rain was fps killer #1 (so (I) can play good with sharp reflecting water(my pc is nor really good))
    -there are some secrets (like a button on some lanterns which let a portal move out the ground )
    -take some elements from capturecity2
    Download all my screenshots (with screens of secrets)

    Excuse the fps - DP needs more shader horsepower than a HD3650 has to render at 1280*1024 with just RT lighting.

    Only thing I'd change is the brick texture. It didn't turn out quite right :?

    can you make that the weaponpictures of them you have change by the weaponpriority...this would be great :D

    eg:
    priority: laser, uzi, rl, hagar...
    no priority for weapon cycling:
    [laser][shotg][uzi][grenadel][...][hagar][rl]
    with cycling:
    [laser][uzi][hagar][rl][...]
    and this in the hud
    and the numbers change:
    not:
    laser(1) shotgun (2)
    this:
    laser(1) uzi(2)
    i mean the numbers for the keys
