    Have you tried compiling fteqcc yourself? I guess no one from the fte team has a mac to build OSX binaries...
    (the source can be checked out from svn at https://svn.sourceforge.net/svnroot/fte ... ine/qclib/)

    I did exactly that once and it worked.

    In a terminal:

    $ svn checkout https://svn.sourceforge.net/svnroot/fte ... gine/qclib fteqcc
    $ cd fteqcc
    $ make
    [...]
    $ sudo cp fteqcc.bin /usr/local/bin/fteqcc

    You need to install Subversion for that (you can do that either using fink or using the package from the subversion website) - and MAYBE you need to install Apple's Xcode, I am not sure if gcc is already included without it.
    1. Open Notepad
    2. Paste: ÿþMSMSMS
    3. Save
    4. Open the file in Notepad again

    You can vary the number of "MS", so you can clearly see it's MS which is causing it.

  • No, you need to install the entire "Developer Tools" package, including Xcode.

    Offtopic: I tried compiling this on Leopard and it died. Stupid Apple updates!
