New shotgun concept

  • IMO the bigger issue isn't the shotgun, its the shells. What an ugly model

  • Well as soon as the team gets more modelers those issues will be resolved but as you might have seen following the forum thats not that easy. And it seems Savage jumped forth and learned some modeling so thats very cool and if people like his shotgun he might be forced into making new shells too :P

  • If they could that would be cool. I actually joined the nex community (and looking at other projects suchs as Zymotic and Alaris) cause I wanted to take a look at the models for the game and maybe redo them (it was morfar that actually introduced me to this community), but the lack of game modeling stopped me. So I became a good player instead just so I could kick morf's ass :P

  • On projectalaris we have a modeler, Inzomnia, with preddy mutch the same background as ai, highpoly/animation stuff. He adapted to lowpoly faily quick and did some real nice stuff. Unfortunatly hes unavaiable atm so i cant realy ask recources to recommend. HOwever considering the proccess went so fast i doubt its mutch more then plowing down a few tutorials.

  • I have an additional idea about that shotgun concept. If that model is going to be used in the future then I think redoing that shotgun sound would be necessary too. IMO the sounds that are now wouldn't fit with that, they would need to be a bit more "heavier" or what the word can be, more powerful.

    And btw, who did those textures on those guns? Morphed?

  • The same can also be said about the mg sounds, but I've been complaining about those forever :)

  • MG sounds are so much worse. In fact, IMO the model needs to be made more bad-ass.

  • I think the rocket launcher should be re-designed. It looks boring, and not as good as the others. Mabie have it look like one of the sniper rifles from halo 2 except in rocket launcher form?

  • This is the shotgun that was used in the game right?

    I think it looks a lot better in the pictures than in the game. You can't see enough of the model. It needs scaling up, bringing forward, or some hands putting on it or something. And a more powerful looking firing animation. Still, cool model though.
