Tourney system:
Players will be seeded by me and Green. It will start of with single elimination, and turns to double elimination when there are 8 players left.
Begins 2008-01-21.

IMPORTANT!
You choose 1 map and the other choose 1. How many frags you win with does not matter! It is the map wins that matter; best-of-three. So if you won 1 and the other won 1 you must both agree on a third map. If that is a draw choose a fourth map and so on.

This post will be updated frequently.

I love this map, so: dont have your own oppinion about it! Final Rage is next to perfect for 1v1. It is small, with a lot of action, but it is still possible to play defensive when low on armor. The items are very well placed and there are a lot of possible trickjumps ... *me slaps kyre*

I chose Runningman_1on1remix, kyre chose Aggressor

Not much to say about Runningman, he did kill me like 3 times, but also suicided quite often
Aggressor was much more intense, a lot of mortar fighting, and I certainly didn't always choose the best paths or attacked in situations I shouldn't have , kyre played very good there, his mortar rocks

There has been some inactivity in the Tourney so we set Sunday (yesterday) as a deadline for WB2 and LB1.
The matches was not played so we gonna do some w.o.

2.) Darkzone 25:18
Diomedes mapchoice. We noticed that the megahealth is missing at the rocketlauncher but went on. I guess this map could have been an win for Diomedes. It is so a lot about killing the enemy rockets next to the enemy on that map (thats the reason I dont like it). Overall I played very defensive and took my chances to make 2-5 frags in a row at times.

2.) Final_Rage 49:11
My mapchoice. I dont know what was up with me, but my nexgun didnt hit very good and my movement was far from what it can be. Anyways, I had better timing and a ping advantage, which was enough for the win.


Overall it was not my day. If pings were even, I bet it would have been a win for Diomedes. GGs Dio.

Aggressor: My map, can't remember much we restarted once (thanks sless) due to my pc crashing argh! i had better start that game but does not matter, was funny game and some? nice frags, that about sums it up..oh and sless kept using electro

Darkzone: His map, i timed proper for first 3-5 mins, then i got a bit silly for some reason and relaxed, then i got serious again and used all my weapons..sless couldnt decide at times whether to go for one armour or the other which was nice for me, and killed me a few times with one of those damn weapons, and before i knew it the clock had hit zero and the match was finished!

22-2 to me.

I just talked to kojak and we discussed our/his options. Because of jhis current severe hardware problems he decided to forfeit the match. This I "win" the match.

We started on Runningman_1on1remix where the start of the game was very funny because I actually didn't get a decent weapon and ran around, basically being chased by Diomedes. I really had to control my self not to start laughing because the situation was somehow funny (no sarcasm!). After a few minutes I could get myself into control of the armors and the mega and was basically keeping my focus on this. I played a bit less aggressive than usual in order to keep his fragcount low, as he is a very dangerous opponent nevertheless (regardless the score). Anyway, gg Diomedes

I didn't know what to expect then on Darkzone, but I was confident that using mortar most of the time and keeping a focus on the armors and the mega (err .. no .. no mega xD) would seal the deal. Of course it was annoying that there was no Megahealth for the time being, but I think there's enough other health lying around on that map. We both started strong on the map but I was getting a lot of spawnfrags (yeah, nexuiz does tend to let you spawn in the same trap 2 or 3 times in a row, I mean the 2 small dead end-corridors at the 2 armors), at least much more than him. Unfortunately he couldn't change his tactic anymore to get the game on his side (he was having a few runs where I couldn't do anything), and he also seemed a bit unaware of the armors (he missed their timings). More concentration next time . GG anyways
