A Player named Thalan mentioned today he would organize a league for
Nexuiz Minstagib, which would be sponsored from Razer (producer of
Brechts weapon). Painless an I talked to him and in the end I gave
him our web-adresse and said I would open a thread to get the feedback
from u =)

Before the real league starts a tournament would be set to see how popular it would became. If it's a success Razer would eventually sponsor a whole league.

There will be 32 slots for player.
Every game mode will be played as minstagib
Mode will be:

1on1 DM - Minsta Kickout system

So now the question:
Who is interested to take part at it?

Okay people, after I've been asked about some
details of the tournament and the league, I decided to post it
exclusively to your forum.

The Website of the Nexuiz Minsta League will be avaible soon, check minsta.net some times in the next few days.

To the tournament:

It will be played as a 1on1 Minsta DM with Hook, Laser and 10 starting ammo.
The maps are not decided yet, so feel free to post some suggestions here. 32 participants will have the possibilty to play at the tournament, the player of the matches will be in an equal playing level, I have produced a system for that over the
years.

If more than 32 people register, they will be randomly choosen,
if less register, the spots will be filled by bots. All matches until
the half finals will be played with the two players and one spectator -
the referee who takes care that everything is running correct (I need 2
more of them, please let me know if you do not want to participate at
the tournament but help at it as a referee).

Only two matches run at the same time From the half finals on, there will be around 6 spectator slots and the slot for the referee. There will be a preventing system
that noone expect the real players are able to join the 1on1. Only one
game at the same time then. The winner of the whole tournament will get
a prize of various Razer-Equipment, shipping to EU-states inclusive, contact me if you are from a non-EU-country.

If the level of the tournament is high enough for Razer, they are going to
sponsor the Nexuiz Minsta League, else a friend of mine will. I will
let you know more when the website is finished and online, please be
patient and feel free to ask me if you have any questions.

No, the tournament will have nothing to do with clans, you can send as many
players as you want. Thank you for the maps!

I will decide the ones for the tournament and there will be a poll for the maps in the league. And thanks Aureilia for your engagement I will talk to Razer whether they are giving some more things for 2nd, 3rd and referees, but finally I do not think they will.

Is there a reason why hook is used? Hook is just a gadged imo, not a real element to the game (just my humble opinion).

Okay, people, I'm going to answer your questions as good as i can

It will be a normal, non-SVN server, hosted on the ToT-servers with a maximum of two matches at the same time.

Shooting rate is a little faster than normal, three seconds spawn time in which you cant shoot or getting shot, if someone stays at the same place for more than ten seconds, he will get auto-suicide for camping (expect he was typing).

No gravity changes will apply.

The tournament will take more than one day, so everyone has the possibility to participate. If you have more questions, post them.

No Minsta-server without Hook is complete and nearly every good Minsta gamer uses hook for moving-techniques(it's hard enough to evade the nex).
