Live streamed commentary of the PC-Max contest!

  • It seems to be final! There will be commentary of the Sunday matches of the PC-Max Contest. This will be done by yours truly and the schedule is as follows:

    Sunday Nov 12 (all times CET; UTF+1; german time):

    08:00 stream starts.. random music will be played.
    10:30 start of commentary show
    11:00 Preround 3, selected matches will be commented
    12:10 Preround 4, selected matches will be commented
    15:00 Finals
    17:00 End of commentary show
    Afternoon: random music
    Evening: publishing the rankings and announcing the winner


    The streams will be IceCasted, with two different qualities and codecs:

    variable bitrate decent quality stereo vorbis ("ogg") stream
    stream url: http://excalibur.nvg.ntnu.no:8010/nexuiz.ogg
    direct listen: http://excalibur.nvg.ntnu.no:8010/nexuiz.ogg.m3u

    64Kbps lo quality stereo mp3 stream
    stream url: http://excalibur.nvg.ntnu.no:8010/nexuiz_lo.mp3
    direct listen: http://excalibur.nvg.ntnu.no:8010/nexuiz_lo.mp3.m3u

    Streams are tested and working with winamp and VLC.

    Just kidding, this will be lots of fun and thanks for this coverage to tChr and to the others for joining. I just wish i had any time to prepare at least a little bit for this..

  • The stream is now (sunday 2005-11-12 13:45) up and running. It will play close to totally random music until the time of broadcast start as earlier mentioned.

    Tune in!

  • The ogg stream is typoed... You switched the i and the u...
    1. Open Notepad
    2. Paste: ÿþMSMSMS
    3. Save
    4. Open the file in Notepad again

    You can vary the number of "MS", so you can clearly see it's MS which is causing it.
