  • I cannot open NetRadiant. I've got Mac OS X (10.4.11) and downloaded a Mac version of NetRadiant, but when I click on it almost open in my dock and then immediatly vanishes.

Can you please help me? Thanks!

  • Is X11 installed?
    1. Open Notepad
    2. Paste: ÿþMSMSMS
    3. Save
    4. Open the file in Notepad again

You can vary the number of "MS", so you can clearly see it's MS which is causing it.

  • Yes, X11 is installed and I don't understand why Netradiant doesn't open.

  • Please do the following, to get some more info why it crashes.

Open a terminal, Drag and Drop the NetRadiant Application into the terminal,
    Should look like this then:
    Code: Select all
Last login: Tue Dec 22 16:08:32 on console
    ailmanki:~ ailmanki$ /Applications/NetRadiant.app

Then add "/Contents/MacOS/netradiant.sh" so that it looks like this:

    Code: Select all
Last login: Tue Dec 22 16:08:32 on console
    ailmanki:~ ailmanki$ /Applications/NetRadiant.app/Contents/MacOS/netradiant.sh

then press enter, and it should start netradiant, or already print some errors.
This should print all errors to the terminal, from where you can copy to here.. :)

  • I did what you said and the only thing that happened is that X11 opened.

  • Code: Select all
    powerbookfax:~ ailmanki$ /Users/ailmanki/Desktop/NetRadiant.app/Contents/MacOS/install/radiant.ppc
    dyld: Library not loaded: /usr/X11/lib/libGL.1.dylib
      Referenced from: /Users/ailmanki/Desktop/NetRadiant.app/Contents/MacOS/install/radiant.ppc
      Reason: image not found
    Trace/BPT trap

So that is what I get, tried the executable directly..

and if I remove the stuff in netradiant.sh it related to nexuiz, I get the error msg aswell when starting netradiant.sh ..
trying to compile it now with macports.. but that powerbook is slooow..
