When im on a server my ping is normally 30-60 and PL is always 0%.I have FPS locked to 100 and this never drops.When it lags i cant move the mouse for 2-3 secs and when it stops lagging im in a different place.The clock symbol does not show up when it lags.

Does e.g. the scoreboard and menu still come up during the freeze? Usually the mouse is still working when something is wrong within the networking system (no network packets are needed to update the view).

If the scoreboard (Tab-key) doesn't come up and if the whole game just freezes it may be that the gfx driver is resetting the graphics card to resurrect it from a lockup. Can you describe your hardware setup?

Its a 2Ghz Athlon , Radeon 9700 , 1gig DDR ram and 550watt enermax PSU.Its Set at 1024x768 Medium detail and everything turned off including Gib's.Mouse is a Logitech G5 laser.

One thing i have noticed is that when i hold down tab and run around , when it lags the ping and pl % disappear and come back when it stops lagging.Any ideas ?

Can you try to disable ATI VPU Recovery in the driver settings?

I from time to time get that too. Sometimes my mouse doesn't work sometimes it's the keyboard and mouse. And the thing is, the game is still going on. I can see others jump around and shoot and I think I can bring down the scoreboard too. Sometimes I automatically do that when it lags to see if the game feezes or not.

Oh, and another important thing: Is nexuiz-sdl.exe better?

No servers show up in the list after clicking refresh with nexuiz-sdl.exe.

can you try to run nexuiz-sdl in windowed mode before clicking the 'join' button? might be the (windows) does block it and the popup asking about if its ok to let it access the internet fail to pop into the forground..

No its definitely nothing firewall or antivirus related.Tried running nexuiz-sdl in windowed mode anyways and still nothing shows up when i click the refresh button to join a game.

Hmm i'l still not sure what could cause such a strange thing..but i think it can only be network releated.. are you using WLAN or do you share your connection with others?
