For some reason, Ubuntu 6.10 does not include libvorbisfile3 in it's default installation. As a result, only the .wav sound effects are played in Nexuiz.

Of course libvorbisfile3 is installed if you installed Nexuiz from the package in the repositories, but if instead you are using the most recent .zip package of Nexuiz, you will need to install libvorbisfile3 to hear all of the sounds.
