  • Hey all.

I can run and play Nexuiz just fine but for some reason my computer can't seam to render explosions and the game crashes. I'm unable to do anything so I can't see the console output. I had the same problem with Dark Places. Anyways here are my computer's specs:

    Windows XP Professional SP2
    Intel Pentium 4 2GHz
    512MB RAM
    Radeon Mobility 7500

Edit: I just tried out what I think was the rail gun and the exact same thing happened.

  • What version of Nexuiz are you using? The explosions and other effects are more of less the same thing thats used to make the smoke from the shotgun or in fact all the other weapon effects. It would be strange if only some of the effects crash your game. Are your display drivers up to date? Check ati.com and see if there are newer ones available.

  • Try to disable "OpenGL 2.0 Shaders" in Options --> Effects.
ATI drivers are known to crash with that option on some machines...

I'm all up to date and I'm using the latest version of Nexuiz.

That didn't work ether. I have no idea why it's doing this. My computer runs all other OpenGL games just fine. Any other suggestions?
