Today, I bought the shareware app "little snitch," which is pretty much a dedicated outgoing firewall— it stops applications from having unauthorized access to the internet. You make "rules" about which apps can and cannot use the internet. So, when I fired up Nexuiz, little snitch stopped it from connecting, and Nexuiz could not get past the gray start screen. After I allowed Nexuiz all internet access, it worked fine. Sooooo, if any mac os users are having problems getting past the "welcome to nexuiz" bit, it might be because you have the snitch installed.

I already defined 2 rules, but it wont help....
one for the Nexuiz.app
and one for the Nexuiz-SDL.app
allowing all internet access on all ports with any kind of protocol and server...

Somehow i have the strange feeling I´m just using the wrong file 8D

I have used heaps of apps/games with little snitch but this is the only one that gives me trouble... I just have to turn it off every time I play which can get a bit annoying

The message little snitch gives me says that I haven't allowed the app to connect... BUT I HAVE!

exact same app - letter for letter.

You may need to specify the actual binary file within the application (right click on it, show package contents>contents>MacOS>Nexuizblahblahblah), as opposed to just what you see.
